We are seeking an experienced mathematics educator to lead our Mathematics Department across all secondary levels (S.1 - S.6).
Role Overview:
The Head of Mathematics is responsible for academic leadership of the department, curriculum development, teacher mentoring, and student outcomes. This is a senior role suited to an experienced teacher with proven results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Mathematics Department (8 teachers)
• Develop and review curriculum for O-Level and A-Level
• Mentor and support teaching staff
• Analyse exam results and drive improvement strategies
• Teach Mathematics to A-Level classes
• Coordinate with headteacher on departmental goals
• Represent the school at academic forums
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience, including A-Level
• Proven track record of excellent UNEB results
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Registered with Ministry of Education
